Mythology in Jamaa...XD

This was my description of Zeus from our school mythology unit! He made me think of Zios, so I decided to post about it! I JUST REALIZED....THEY EVEN HAVE A SIMILAR NAME! O_O "ZIOS" AND "ZEUS".....
THEIR FATES MUST BE CONNECTED! XP

 Zeus/Jupiter (A vision of Zios) X3

·      In Greek mythology, this god is known as Zeus
·      His Roman equivalent is Jupiter
·      In the Greek Pantheon, Zeus is the ruler over the
kingdom of the gods, also known as Mount Olympus.
He is the god of the sky and thunder, often seen carrying
a large, powerful thunderbolt. Zeus is the son of the Titans
Cronos and Rhea, the husband of Hera, and the father of
Athene, Hephaestus, Ares, and Aris (in addition to many
demigod children)

·      Cronos, the ruler of the Titans, receives a prophecy from his
father Oranos, whom he had previously killed for power. The
prophecy predicts that one of Cronos’ children will overthrow
him, so Cronos decides to consume each of his children, one by
one. However, Rhea makes an attempt to save her final child, a
son named Zeus.

·      Rhea dashes down the mountainside and hangs Zeus in a golden
cradle in an olive tree. She then gives Cronos a stone wrapped in
blankets, which he swallows whole, thinking it is Zeus.

·      After saving her final child, Rhea gives Zeus to a shepherd family,
promising that their sheep will never be eaten by wolves. He is raised
there, until finally he returns to Cronos and Rhea as a “cupbearer.”

·      One day, Zeus and Rhea create a mixture of nectar, mustard, and salt
and give it to Cronos, which causes him to vomit up first the stone,
and then the rest of the gods he had consumed. (Hestia, Demeter, Hera,
Hades, and Poseidon)

·      As a result, a massive war rages all throughout the land. Cronos and
the Titans team up against the gods and their allies, the Hundred-handed
ones. The battle is fierce and long, but the gods manage to lead the Titans
into one final trap, lead by Zeus, that involves an ambush of the
Hundred-handed ones. Zeus is then named king, and decides to reign in
the Sky.

·      I’m not particularly fond of Zeus. I think that he’s slightly arrogant and
self-absorbed. I think that the Greeks were trying to present people with
a very powerful, strong leader, but also as an example of the importance of humility. Zeus may exemplify strength, but he is also an example of what not to do. His pride often gets in his way, and he is quite unfaithful to Hera.

To tell you the truth, Zeus reminds me of Zios, and Mira reminds me of Hera. Zios and Hera are kinder and more spiritual I'm sure, but they possess very similar overall qualities. See the resemblance? XDD

BOW DOWN TO ZIOS...(AND POSSIBLY ZEUS) XD

    1. Oh, that's certainly not the case! I just did that on all of the blogs I write for, since I don't have a lot of authors :( I'm sorry...

    2. I'm really sorry... I noticed that your really upset... I know I totally overdid it, that's why I thought it would be kind of comical, but I guess not. I don't mind you taking down the unnecessary banners and silly stuff like that, but I felt kind of offended myself when you took down the part where I asked if anyone on the LWT wanted to be an author on my blog... I don't understand why I can't ask if anyone's interested... It's not advertising in that case, it's just asking my fellow LWT authors and offering them an opportunity... Sorry for this long rant, but I felt that I had to get my point across...
